High Pressure High Temperature Diamond Processing (HPHT)
Certain diamonds can be processed to create white or near white diamonds using the HPHT treatment. Some others can be processed to produce greenish, yellow or orange-yellow colors. Although this process can create beautiful colors, it results in frosting of diamond surface that requires a re-polish and may also result in marginal weight loss and clarity degradation.

Procedure and Pricing
Submit the diamonds to be HPHT processed to our office in New York City. Our in-house experts will inspect the diamonds to determine the suitability of the stone for the process. The expected results will be communicated to the client. At this point we require the clients final approval and acceptance of our terms to process the diamond.

On client's approval, the diamond is submitted to our lab for HPHT processing. This process usually takes 3 to 10 business days. The stone is returned to the client as soon as it is ready.

To submit a stone for processing please ship it to our New York address. Please contact a representative by phone, email or web before sending the diamonds. A local resident can set up an appointment and come in personally to submit the diamond for processing.

Pricing for the HPHT process depends on the specific needs. It is determined based on the size of the diamond submitted, total number of stones submitted, etc. and optional service like re-polishing. There will be no charge if the diamond is found unsuitable for the process. Please contact our representative to get quotes for processing.

Quality Assurance
Through several years of scientific and empirical studies, our labs have been able to develop sophisticated and well-controlled processes for diamond coloration and de-coloration using the HPHT process. We strive to bring out the best results in every diamond that we process. The process of HPHT results in frosting of the surface of the diamond. This requires re-polishing of the stone. We also provide the optional service of getting the diamond polished after the process. This may result in a marginal weight loss. There may also be slight depletion in the clarity of the diamond processed.
